WOW Africa Hosts 5th Annual “The WOW Conversation” in Nigeria

WOW Africa Inc. held its 5th Annual “WOW Conversation” on May 30, 2026, in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. This year’s theme was “Healthy Women: Sustainable Society,” with a focus on women, wellness, wealth, and sustainability.

The annual event brought together women, men, leaders, and change-makers to discuss how empowered women can strengthen families, communities, and society. Participants learned about women’s health, sustainable community development, and practical ways to support women as they care for themselves and those around them.

This year’s event had higher attendance than ever before, likely due in part to the importance of the topic and the radio spots WOW Africa ran earlier in the year. The strong turnout showed the growing interest in women’s health and community transformation across the region.

Hon. Dr. Joe Chukwudi Akabuike, Chief Medical Director of Cynvic Consultants, served as keynote speaker. Special guests of honour included Mrs. Esther Chinyere Onyekesi, Hon. Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, State Women Leader APGA, and Founder of Care Noble Sisters Foundation International; and Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, Esq. mni., Head of Service, Government of Anambra State, Nigeria.

The event highlighted WOW Africa’s year-round commitment to empowering women, transforming communities, and building sustainable futures. Through networking opportunities, inspiring sessions, and workshops, attendees were encouraged to become stronger advocates for women’s wellness and community progress.

The WOW Conversation continues to be one of WOW Africa’s major annual gatherings, giving women and men a place to learn, connect, and work together for healthier women and stronger societies.
